Mates Fly The Flag 2026

There is a particular kind of strength I see in men who work in mining, construction, civil and the trades.

You work long hours. You solve problems. You carry responsibility. You provide. You push through heat, fatigue, deadlines, shutdowns, pressure and time away from the people you love.

And somewhere along the way, “I can handle it” can quietly become “I have to handle it alone.”

We need to talk about that.

Because stress doesn't always look like falling apart.

Sometimes it looks like working harder.

Sleeping less.

Having a shorter fuse.

Drinking a little more.

Losing interest in sex.

Feeling disconnected from your partner.

Being exhausted but unable to switch off.

Or sitting in the ute after work for five extra minutes because you don't have the energy to walk through the front door and be needed by somebody else.

You can still be functioning and not be flourishing.

And seeking support doesn't diminish masculinity.

I believe taking responsibility for your wellbeing is an expression of it.

There is strength in knowing yourself well enough to recognise when something needs attention. There is courage in learning how your body responds to chronic stress. And there is power in developing tools to regulate that stress rather than simply enduring it.

My work with men isn't about asking you to become softer, weaker or somebody you're not.

It's about helping you reconnect with yourself.

To slow the nervous system down.

To sleep more deeply.

To understand what your body is telling you.

To explore stress, confidence, intimacy and wellbeing without judgement.

To rediscover the grounded masculine presence that can become buried beneath years of responsibility and pressure.

And, for some men, to explore the relationship between stress, sensuality, libido and sexual confidence — aspects of men's wellbeing we often pretend don't matter, despite how deeply they can affect identity and relationships.

This is where holistic therapy can go far deeper than simply “relaxing.”

My approach combines evidence-informed aromatherapy with personalised, whole-person care. We look at the man sitting in front of me — his work, stress, sleep, relationships, nervous system, emotional wellbeing and what he wants to reclaim in his life.

Because wellness isn't surrendering your strength.

It's learning how to command it.

If you've spent years being the man everybody else relies upon, perhaps it's time to invest some of that strength back into yourself.

You don't have to wait until you're in crisis.

You don't even have to know exactly what you need.

You just have to be willing to begin.

If you work in mining, civil, construction or the trades and this speaks to something you've been carrying quietly, you're welcome to reach out privately.

Let's start your wellness journey.
